Now Enrolling for Fall 2024/25!

Looking Ahead: The Best is Yet to Come…

It’s hard to believe it’s only been 1-1/2 years since God gave us the mandate to replant Crook County Christian School. While it appeared to be an impossible undertaking, it is simply astounding what God has accomplished so quickly and the core team He has established here. Not only have we seen miraculous provision that helped relaunch the school in year one, but He has continued to supply everything that is necessary to fulfill that mandate with excellence and with a quality that continues to build upon past successes and the original vision and to do things we’ve never done previously. As we look ahead in 2024 and beyond, it is exciting to see what God is opening the doors to accomplish, and we believe wholeheartedly that the best is yet to come!

Strong and Steady Growth Continues

When we relaunched Crook County Christian School in 2022, we started the year with 50 students. While we started with only 7 Kindergarten students in 2022, we watched that number multiple to 22 kindergarten students this year and a total enrollment of 85 (currently preschool through 8th grade). We have seen continued growth in every grade level, and we’re looking forward to watching that growth multiply again in 2024. God continues to bring in new families who are seeing and hearing about the quality of our program and staff, and who have seen our students thriving. Not a week goes by that we do not receive testimonies from our families about what God is doing in their students, or how they are thriving academically and spiritually compared to previous schools and environments. Because of this, we expect a strong and steady growth trajectory to continue as we begin 2024 and prepare for Fall enrollment.

Emphases on Strong Academics and Spiritual Formation

A key component of the mandate God gave us was to provide an environment that fosters discipleship through strong emphases in both spiritual disciplines and academics. Both are essential to making disciples and preparing good citizens. At a time when test scores are slipping nationwide and in our public schools, our students are countering that trend. Our median test scores last year showed that our students, as a group, are thriving and performing above their peers. We intentionally place a strong emphasis on reading and literacy development in our early programs and grades, knowing this is key to successful academic outcomes as students progress to upper elementary and secondary education. Additionally, we provide small class sizes and individual attention that helps students thrive in a way most other environments simply can’t.

The centrality of the Gospel, and our commitment to Truth (Jesus)

Additionally, at the core of everything we do is the Gospel. We are not a nominally Christian school (Christian in name only), rather Christ is at the center of everything we do. We understand that there is a specific and calculated war on Truth in our culture, and that this is one of the most critical challanges facing our students and families. Since Jesus proclaims clearly that He is Truth, and since Paul tells us, “…in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” it is paramount that our students are given the academic and spiritual tools to successfully navigate these perilous times with confidence.

This is reinforced in the DNA of our school and program. Not only do we have weekly chapel, but we have implemented a new daily Bible curriculum that is more in step with these goals. Even though all of our curriculum is biblically based at its core, we intentionally disciple our teachers not to rely on the curriculum alone, and we teach them to weave faith and the gospel into every class and in interactions with students. One of our chief goals is partnering with families to help students build a biblical worldview based on Truth (Jesus), and ownership of a vibrant faith grounded in Christ alone and the gospel. We don’t simply teach them what to think, but how to think, reason and filter truth claims effectively through scripture and Truth.

Looking Ahead

With growth comes some exciting new opportunities! We are looking forward to implementing and integrating many new things in the weeks, months and years ahead. Not only do we have some exciting new things on the horizon for this year, we’re already looking forward to next year and some new opportunities for our students and families as we continue to strive for excellence in all things. Our entire team is committed to pursuing excellence, and we are confident that Crook County Christian School will continue to be the best option for our students and families now and in the years to come. We remain steadfastly committed in all we do to providing the highest quality programs, tools and resources to give our students every advantage possible. New and exciting things are in the works and on the horizon that will continue to make what we do even better! We are so thankful for the doors God continues to open, and we’re excited these things will be available right here, for families in Prineville and Crook County.

Moving Forward with Diligence and Excellence

We do not exist to simply be an alternative for your student to public school, homeschool, or even other private schools. We’re here and we exist to be and provide the highest quality environment and program for your student to thrive academically and spiritually in a world that is attacking the very foundations of Truth. Truth is real, and we are helping our students learn how to navigate these challenging obstacles with confidence. Nothing is more important than equipping our kids with the tools they need to successfully navigate the days ahead and preparing them for success n whatever endeavors God leads them. This calling and these mandates remain at the focal point of everything we do. Idleness is not an option…too much is at stake for our children. It’s incredible what God has accomplished already, but we know and understand this is just the beginning. Truly, the best is yet to come, and we invite you to come with us on this exciting journey as God continues to lead and provide what is necessary to accomplish these things and fulfill the mission He has called us to!
