They are not only highly-skilled academically, but they excel at weaving faith into the classroom. Our team doesn’t just teach kids “what” to think but HOW to think.
Margo comes to Crook County Christian with Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. She is passionate about Christian Education, and is highly skilled in curriculum development and teaching English at the secondary level. Margo loves to assist students with developing a Biblical worldview, and she believes English/Literature is a perfect avenue for this by crafting engaging assignments that challenge students to think critically.
Education & Experience:
Mrs. Mapes is our most beloved teacher of all-time. She has a 29-year career teaching math, Spanish, and study skills to hundreds of students since 1995, including 22 years with Crook County Christian School. She has taught every year but one of CCCS’s existence, and some of our teachers have been students in her classroom! Many people in Prineville and Crook County know the excellence she brings and her ability to weave faith into the classroom while holding strong standards of academic excellence. She is highly skilled at helping students with diverse learning styles understand math concepts.
Education & Experience:
Blake has quickly become one CCCS students favorite teachers! He is extremely gifted in teaching Bible in a way that engages students to think critically, and he works to ensure students incorporate a biblical worldview into all of their subjects. Blake is passionate about history, and brings that passion and knowledge to help give our students an expert biblical and historical perspective. Blake is completing his first year teaching with us, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him teaching our students. He is currently finishing his Master’s Degree and is also pursuing ACSI certification for the upcoming 2023/24 school year.

Our L.E.A.D. program has seen tremendous results in our first year, and we’re excited to continue seeing it grow in 2023/24 to achieve similar successes for 2023/24!
When we decided to start our L.E.A.D. program, we had no idea what to expect and we structured it to work well with Grizzly Homelink as well as homeschooling families looking for support. We’ve seen TREMENDOUS results with our students achieving success, and the primary reason for that is Madi. She has gone above and beyond to help students by providing them with structure, accountability, and a strong leadership emphasis that helps them develop into highly capable citizens. Madi has done an excellent job helping our L.E.A.D. students grow and excel. Madi is an excellent teacher/tutor and the results this year speak volumes about her drive to see students succeed!
