Now Enrolling for Fall 2023/24!

ANNOUNCEMENT: CCCS Has Selected Its New Mascot!

While we have been considering many options for our revitalized branding and identity, one name has continued to come back again and again with our staff. On May 31, 2023, we officially voted as a staff to become the SAINTS!

Upon reflection, there isn’t a name that could possibly be more perfect or fitting for our identity. Why?

Our Identity in Christ

For one thing, this is exactly how the Bible describes those who have put their faith in Christ. What better identity could there be for a school bearing the name Christian? In almost every epistle, Paul starts and addresses his letters to those in the newly planted churches as “saints” when he writes to them. It is our unique identity in Christ as a new creation. Saints are people born again and referred to all throughout the New Testament as those who are holy and set apart, in God, through Christ Jesus and placing their faith in Him.

The Biblical Role of Teachers

Additionally, we couldn’t help but take from Ephesians the role that teachers play in the work of discipleship. They equip the saints!

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ…

Paul the Apostle (Ephesians 4:11-12)

This is precisely what our teachers do every single day and it is what we train them for. They are helping equip students for whatever calling and vocation God has for them in this life. Whatever future job title they hold, we are equipping them to use that for the glory of God!

Teaching Students to Endure in Changing Times

While culture may be changing rapidly, and Truth may be under assault, we have the unique privilege every single day to teach our students what is objective Truth, and to point them to Jesus.

Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Revelation 14:12

As we teach them what identity we have when we place our confidence in Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith, then they come to an understanding of what it means to be His saints! And as their confidence increases, we empower them to endure and to be salt and light at a critical time in our culture. This is our identity in Christ. This is what it means to be a saint, and we are excited to continue to reinforce that in our branding and culture!
